I’d be interested to know if any real research has been done to look into the gas vs. charcoal environmental question. Gas comes from a non-renewable resource. Burning it release carbon into the atmosphere which currently is not being put back where it came from. Burning wood produces carbon that can be put back where it came from by planting new trees. So, what’s the real deal on this question?

We Moroccans traditionally use a piece of cloth or paper soaked in sunflower-oil to fuel our barbeques…………..so I was shoked when I discovered that there are people out there who use chemicals to start up their fires!

Some great suggestions. However, barbecue and grilling are two different styles of cooking. Grilling is direct heat/short duration cooking and barbecue is indirect heat/long duration cooking.
